VS
01The product

One exam, or the cycle that produces it.

  • eLitmus: pH Test — Quantitative, Verbal, Analytical (60 Qs, 2 hours)
  • Skillencio: APEX Learning, ENGAGE Projects, EXCEL Assessment, EMPOWER Employability
  • Plus: the Employability Score — per-individual, per-cohort, per-branch, longitudinal, exportable
02The customer

Sells to your students. Builds with the institution.

  • eLitmus: pH Test for students; PAC Labs for corporates
  • Colleges are venues for corporate-funded employer-branding, not customers
  • Skillencio's engagement is built for the institution from day one
03The bill

Per-test fees per student, or one institutional engagement.

Talent moatWhere the skill came from Native to Skillencio — learning via APEX, projects on ENGAGE, assessment and scoring through EXCEL, employment via EMPOWER. The graduate is the product. Inbound. Scores students who turn up for the pH Test. No upstream training or skilling.
AudienceWho pays · who uses Institutions and corporates — both sides of the bridge. Students (B2C — pH Test fee) and corporates (B2B — PAC Labs licensing). Institutions are not the customer.
LearningLMS · curriculum APEX — 360° learning coverage: Coding, Domain, Aptitude, Business Communication, Interview Prep Content, Capstone Projects. AI-personalised, instructor-led. No publicly documented LMS. Positioned as pre-employment screening — courseware or curriculum is not a headline offering.
AssessmentNative engine EXCEL — AI-powered native assessment engine. Coding (Tests + MCQs), MCQ, Domain, Psychometric, English, Aptitude. Plus 10–15 min custom test authoring with auto-grading. pH Test only — three sections (Quantitative, Verbal, Analytical), 60 questions, 2 hours. Separate PAC Labs library is licensed to corporates.
Projectworkspace · practice ENGAGE — AI-powered project workspace. Capstone-grade projects across code, CAD, design or case-study work, with mentor review. No publicly documented coding workspace. pH Test is aptitude-oriented — a coding module is not a headline offering.
Placement workflowTPO operating system EMPOWER — Skillencio's employability platform. Recruiter Engagement, Drive Coordination, Offer Tracking — inside the readiness cycle. Job marketplace based on pH percentile. No drive management or pipeline tooling for institutions.
ScoringSingle readiness signal Employability Score — continuous, methodology-led. Per-individual, per-cohort, per-branch, longitudinal, exportable. pH Test percentile — single-test result, 2-year validity. Recruiter pre-screen, tech/IT-services concentrated.
Mock interviewsPractice, not slots EMPOWER — live mock interview sessions: HR rounds, technical rounds, company-specific simulations before drives. Practice, not scheduling. No publicly documented mock-interview product. Students prepare on their own.
Outcome accountabilityWho owns the placement number Skillencio. The engagement is designed around the placement outcome. The student. eLitmus's deliverable is the pH percentile; placement responsibility sits with the student and the recruiter.
Inclusion modelWhat's in the engagement All inside the engagement — Learning, Assessment, Mocks, Scoring, Recruiter Pipeline. Student pays nothing additional. Per-test fees + separate corporate licensing. Institutions don't have a product to buy.
PricingWho pays the bill Institution-funded. Three engagement tiers — Pilot · Department · Campus. Student-paid per pH Test attempt; corporate licensing for PAC Labs and recruitment services.

What changes for the institution

Four outcomes a percentile can't deliver.

Each one a conversation a TPO already has in the placement review.

01A cycle, not a test

Everything before the score, too.

  • The pH Test measures aptitude on one 2-hour sitting
  • It doesn't teach the coding, aptitude or communication first
  • APEX runs that learning across the year, instructor-led
  • Practice and continuous assessment, not a single attempt
  • Students arrive ready rather than just measured
02Readiness, not a percentile

An Employability Score that moves.

  • A pH percentile is one result with two-year validity
  • The Employability Score is continuous and methodology-led
  • Per-individual, per-cohort, per-branch, longitudinal
  • Calibrated year on year as students actually improve
  • Institution-owned and exportable — not a recruiter pre-screen
03The institution is the customer

An engagement you can actually buy.

  • eLitmus sells to students per attempt and to corporates separately
  • The institution isn't the customer and has nothing to license
  • Skillencio is institution-funded across the whole cohort
  • Learning, assessment, mocks and scoring sit inside one engagement
  • Students pay nothing extra to take part
04Through to the offer

Past the screen, into placement.

  • The pH Test ends at the percentile; the rest is the student's problem
  • EMPOWER carries the cohort into recruiter engagement and drives
  • Mock interviews and offer tracking, not just a marketplace listing
  • One partner owning the cycle, one placement number at year-end
When Skillencio is the right engagement

Two conversations a percentile can't end.

If either is the conversation in your placement review, this is the engagement.

01When the number is the real problem

Drive count up, placement count flat.

  • More drives, more outreach — placement percentage won't move
  • Recruiters cite candidate quality; HODs cite the training calendar
  • The fix is upstream of any percentile — that's the cycle Skillencio runs
02When the test fee is the filter

A per-test fee decides who sits for placements.

  • Students who can't pay skip the test — and the recruiter pipeline that follows
  • Institution-funded engagement covers every student equally
  • Cost stops being the filter on readiness
Talk it through

Want a cohort that clears the percentile?

TPO calls usually start with a placement number that didn't land. 30 minutes surfaces where the cycle is breaking — readiness, recruiter pipeline, evidence — and whether Skillencio is the fix.

Frequently asked

Questions TPOs ask.

The five questions that come up in every evaluation call.

01Does eLitmus actually work for freshers?
eLitmus runs the pH Test and routes high-percentile scorers to a recruiter network. The model produces results for top-percentile candidates; for cohort-wide placement, an institution-funded employability service like Skillencio reaches the full cohort, not just the top tail.
02Has anyone got a job through eLitmus after passing out?
Yes — eLitmus accepts attempts after graduation, allowing multiple recruiter applications during the score validity window. Outcomes correlate strongly with percentile rank and target-company depth. Skillencio's engagement is designed around the placement outcome, which is a different commitment than a percentile-based shortlist.
03Why does an eLitmus shortlist convert to relatively few hires?
The pH Test surfaces a percentile rank, not interview readiness. Conversion depends on recruiter cycle preferences and the candidate's interview performance — neither of which eLitmus owns. Skillencio's EMPOWER includes mock interview practice and company-specific simulations before drives, so the conversion rate at the interview stage is what's being moved.
04Is the eLitmus attempt fee worth it for engineering students?
The fee is paid by the student. For institutional placement strategy, that cost is per-student per-attempt and excludes those who can't pay. Skillencio's institution-funded engagement covers every student in the cohort without per-test fees.
05What's an institution-side alternative to eLitmus?
eLitmus does not have a TPO/institution product — colleges appear in their model as venues, not buyers. Skillencio's engagement is contracted with the institution, with the TPO operating EMPOWER for the placement workflow and recruiter pipeline.
