About · Why we exist

We close the gap between the classroom and a first job.

India graduates millions of students a year. Most are capable; far too many still can't turn the degree into a job offer. We're building the tools — and the partnerships — to close that gap.

A note from the founder

Why we’re building Skillencio.

Most of the students I meet are sharp and working hard. The hard part is how little clear, useful information actually reaches them — there’s so much noise that a lot end up believing the wrong things: that a degree is enough, or that once companies show up on campus the offers mostly take care of themselves.

The reality is harder, and it isn’t anyone’s fault. When recruiters come to a campus, maybe 1 in 5 students have the information, the network or the head start to figure it out on their own. The other 80% are every bit as capable — they’re just climbing a steeper wall, with less information and fewer people who can point the way. That’s not a talent gap; it’s a guidance gap — and it’s genuinely hard for any single college, tool or employer to close alone, because each of them only ever sees one piece of it.

That’s the gap we’re trying to help close — not by replacing what colleges and recruiters already do, but by connecting it. Cut the noise, and give students, their institutions and the companies hiring them one honest, shared picture of what a student can actually do — so the 80% get the guidance and the proof the 20% already had.

None of this is easy, and we don’t pretend to have it all figured out. It costs real money, the ground shifts faster than any of us can keep up with, and everyone in it — students, faculty, placement teams, recruiters — is already stretched and doing their best. But I genuinely believe it’s worth doing, and it isn’t a marketing line. I’ve watched too many capable kids fall through a gap nobody intended, and I’d rather spend my years trying to close it. We’re building this in the open, and we answer for whether it works.

The problem we're solving

The employability gap, in hard numbers.

India produces millions of graduates a year. Most of them aren't job-ready. The numbers below are not ours — they're from independent industry reports. Skillencio exists to flip them.

What we do

One loop, skill to hire.

Not a workshop dropped into one semester. We connect the whole arc — skill, assess, build, employ — into a single loop, and every step rolls up to one Employability Score.

01 / 04SkillAPEX

Industry-aligned, role-specific curriculum — adaptive to each student.

02 / 04AssessEXCEL

Verified, not just attempted — measured against the real bar.

03 / 04BuildENGAGE

Real projects, AI-guided — portfolio-grade work, not lectures.

04 / 04EmployEMPOWER

Direct hiring-partner access — capable students, surfaced to recruiters.

The through-line

Every step writes back to one Employability Score — the single measure a student, their college and a recruiter all read the same way.

What we stand for

One mission. Four pillars.

Our mission

Empower students through practical learning and advanced technology — enhancing their employability and critical thinking.

Our vision

Redefine the future of learning — so graduates can apply theory in real scenarios and build careers that last.

  • Technology should scale guidance, not gate it
  • One connected stack, one student record
  • Auditable by design — never a black box
  • Built to reach the 80%, not just the front row
  • Secure and traceable, end to end

  • Employability assistance
  • Verified, then employed
  • Resume & LinkedIn, interview-ready
  • Outcomes, not attendance

  • Real problems, not rote recall
  • Verified, not just attempted
  • One Employability Score, every stakeholder
  • Every claim traceable to real work

Why it matters

Closing the gap moves five global goals.

We didn't pick these to look good in a deck. The work — getting the 80% without the head start to real, verified employability — sits exactly where five UN Sustainable Development Goals do.

The team behind it

Three founders. One operating cadence.

57+ combined years across talent & skilling, ed-tech operations, and platform engineering. Skillencio runs the cadence we'd run inside a portfolio company — diagnostic, scorecard, regular review, exit artifact.

Founder & CEO

24+ years in talent — pure recruitment across the gamut (entry-level to leadership) at Options Executive Search and Kelly Services (Fortune 500 staffing), then specialising in entry-level skilling at TalentSprint, Great Learning, byteXL. Most measurable chapter: 8 years as Director — Corporate Engagement at TalentSprint, growing the recruiter network from 25 to 1,000+ partners and placing ~15,000 entry-level professionals. Founded Skillencio to take that outcome-led playbook into a service-grade engagement.

Co-Founder & COO

15+ years across EdTech and IT — Accenture, TalentSprint, and as founder of TallGrass EdTech. Dual master's in Management & Technology. Owns operations end to end: cohort delivery, institutional partnerships, and the delivery cadence that turns plans into employed students. Runs the engagement the way a portfolio operator would — diagnostic at intake, scorecard through the program, and an employability report leadership can act on. He's the connective tissue between what the platform measures and what a campus actually sees.
