Skillencio Private Limited ("Skillencio", "we", "us", or "our") operates the skillencio.com website, the Empower employability platform, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This page explains what personal data we collect when you use our Services, how we use it, and what choices you have.
This policy is designed to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA, India) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU/UK) for visitors from those jurisdictions.
TL;DR: We collect contact details when you fill our forms, behavioral signals (pages visited, UTM source) to understand where you came from, and your consent to email you. We don't sell your data. You can email

01 Information we collect
From our website forms
When you book a discovery call, download a brochure or case study, or contact us, we collect:
- Identity: first name, last name, designation
- Contact: email address, mobile number
- Organization context: organization name, website, industry, role (institution / corporate / other), and (optionally) cohort size, hiring volume, programs of interest, your use case
- Consent flags: whether you agreed to be contacted by Skillencio
Automatically, when you browse
- Behavioral: pages visited, time on site, referrer URL, the page where you clicked a call-to-action
- Attribution: UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content) on first visit and on form submission
- Technical: IP address (truncated), browser, device type, anonymized analytics identifier (Google Analytics 4)
From our platform (Empower users only)
- Profile + assessment data: if you create an account on the Empower platform, we collect data you submit (resume content, skill assessments, profile information) to provide the employability service. See the Empower-specific platform terms shown at signup for details.
02 How we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Respond to your inquiry — send the brochure or case study you requested, schedule a discovery call, answer questions.
- Sales follow-up — our team reaches out for relevant conversations about employability programs (institutions) or hiring partnerships (companies).
- Service improvement — understand which content resonates, where visitors drop off, which channels deliver qualified leads.
- Compliance and security — meet legal obligations, detect abuse, protect our systems.
- Marketing communications — only if you've consented (the checkbox on our forms). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
03 Where your data goes
To deliver our Services, we share data with a small number of carefully chosen processors who operate under data processing agreements with us:
- Zoho CRM (Zoho Corporation, India) — stores Lead, Contact, and Deal records. Hosted in Zoho's India data centre.
- Google Workspace (Google LLC) — email (abhijeet@skillencio.com), Google Meet, Google Calendar for booking discovery calls.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — anonymized behavioral analytics. We don't store cookies until you accept the consent banner.
- Hostinger — DNS hosting for skillencio.com.
If you are located outside India, please note that we process and store your data in India, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using our Services or submitting our forms, you consent to this transfer.
04 Cookies and similar tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Strictly necessary cookies (always on): session continuity, form submission state, security.
- Analytics cookies (with your consent): Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic patterns.
- Marketing cookies (with your consent): we don't run any today, but reserve the option for future advertising integrations.
- Attribution cookies (with your consent): a small first-party cookie that remembers your first-touch UTM parameters for up to 365 days, so we can attribute conversions to the right campaign.
You'll see a cookie banner on your first visit. Decline and only strictly-necessary cookies are set. Withdraw consent at any time via the cookie preferences link in the footer.
05 How long we keep your data
- Active prospects: while you're in active conversation, indefinitely.
- Cold leads: 36 months from last meaningful interaction, then anonymized or deleted.
- Customers: for the term of our engagement, plus 7 years for legal and tax compliance.
- Anonymous analytics: aggregated forever; individual GA4 records expire on Google's standard schedule (currently 14 months).
06 Your rights
Under the DPDPA, GDPR, and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing emails or our data processing at any time
- Object to processing — restrict how we use your data
- Lodge a complaint — with the Data Protection Board of India (for DPDPA) or your local supervisory authority (for GDPR)

07 Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: TLS encryption for data in transit, access controls on our CRM, encrypted storage with our processors, audit logging, and regular reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data with the care we'd want for our own.
If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities within 72 hours of discovery, as required by law.
08 Children's privacy
Our Services are intended for individuals over 18 (or the legal majority age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us and we'll delete it.
09 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email (if we have consent) and posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
